How do I add a co-owner to my property?

Invite another owner account to share a property — with an accept and an admin approval step.

   Open the Co-owners tab

   Open the property and go to the Co-owners tab.

   Note: this tab is visible only to the actual property owner. Managers and existing co-owners can't see or use it.

   Send the invite

   In the Invite a co-owner card, enter the person's email and click Invite.

   They must already have an existing, approved genXstay owner account — you can't invite someone who hasn't signed up yet. Common errors:

   • No owner account found with that email
   • That owner account is still pending approval
   • You can't invite yourself as a co-owner

   Wait for acceptance, then admin approval

   There are two gates after you send the invite:

   1. The invitee accepts — the invite shows as PENDING until then, and you can Cancel it from the Invites card
   2. A site admin approves it — the status then reads "Awaiting admin approval"

   The property only appears in the co-owner's account after both steps. If an admin rejects it, their note comes back to you as "Admin note: …".

   What a co-owner can do

   Once approved, a co-owner sees the property in their own portal with full access to the property tabs — except the Co-owners tab and the Transfer ownership option, which stay with the original owner only.
