Properties
Add rooms one at a time, or upload a whole property's worth from a spreadsheet.
Both Add room and Bulk upload stay disabled until the property has at least one sharing type — that's what tells the app how many beds a room has and what it costs. See How do I set up sharing types? if you haven't done this yet.
Property → Floors & Rooms tab → Add room. Fill in:
101Optionally override rent, refundable deposit, or non-refundable deposit for this specific room; leave them blank to inherit the sharing type's defaults (the placeholder shows you what's inherited).
Beds are created automatically from the sharing type's bed count — you'll see a toast like "Room 101 added with 3 beds".
For a new property, adding rooms one at a time is slow. Click Bulk upload (next to Add room) to open the "Bulk upload rooms" dialog.
rooms-template.xlsx with dropdowns already populated with your property's floor names and sharing typesThe file must be .xlsx — CSV isn't accepted. Use the downloaded template rather than building your own sheet, since its dropdowns prevent most typos.
After uploading you get a results table — Row / Floor / Room / Status / Detail — with counts like "18 created" and "2 failed". Failed rows tell you why (e.g. a room number that already exists, or a sharing type name that doesn't match).
Use Export results to download the outcome as CSV, fix the failed rows, and click Upload another file. Successfully created rooms are kept — re-uploading only the failures is safe. Click Done when finished.
